Half term for most schools in Cardiff takes place from Monday 24 to Friday 28 February, with St David’s Day taking place on Saturday 1 March. There’s loads going on if you’re looking to entertain your children, with everything from theatre shows and animal encounters to outdoor nature-inspired events and historical-inspired activities.

I’ve included a few things from the next week or so before the official half term, as I know lots of you read this as you’re visiting Cardiff from elsewhere in the UK and that your holiday is the week before. There’s also a few events taking place later in March which you may like to book ahead for.

All events are subject to change and cancellation so please do check with the organisers to avoid disappointment.

Anything I’ve missed, drop the link in the comments. And if you go anywhere you’ve seen on Cardiff Mummy Says, do let me know and/or tag me in your posts. I love seeing your adventures.

It helps me massively if you give this post a like, share or save on social media and means I’ll keep on showing up in your timeline as well as other people’s.

But, when autumn comes, he gets a little bit carried away with cleaning up the forest and accidently destroys his own home. With beautiful puppets, original music and a touch of silliness Tidy is a gentle but cautionary tale about the value of the world around us and what happens if we don’t look after it.
