Every month, I collate the best of my month on the Cardiff Mummy Says Instagram feed here on my blog. It took me a while to get the hang of Instagram, but it’s now one of my favourite social networks, inspiring me every day with the beautiful photos and sense of community.

This month, we’ve been making the most of the school holidays with day trips to some fantastic – and free – places in South Wales including Cardiff Castle, St Fagans National History Museum, Ogmore beach, Dunraven Bay and Margam Park. We’ve had some sunshiny days and some blustery cold ones, but it’s been fantastic fun. We also had a few days in Tenby, where it rained most of the week, as well as a few days in Borth and Ynys Las (our second trip of the year).

I’ve gained around 250 new followers in August and was thrilled to see my photos chosen to be featured by a few of the Insta communities I take part in, such as #saturdaysiblings and #whatevertheweatherkids

Here’s this month’s round up.

Instagram

First row – the library at Cardiff Castle; Ogmore beach x 2; Margam Park

Second row – Hafod Estate near Aberystwyth; Margam Castle; Tenby Dinosaur Park; Broad Haven South Beach

Third row – Dunraven Bay; Heath Park; Broad Haven South Beach; Dunraven Bay.

Fourth row – the bakery at St Fagans National History Museum; Broad Haven South Beach; Borth beach at sunset; Gwalia Stores at St Fagans.

My favourite photo this month is this one, taken at Dunraven Bay. It’s a really special place for us and although we didn’t have the best weather, we had certainly had fun exploring. I love seeing the three of them playing together.
