Cancer has touched our family a lot over the last few years, with several family members and friends receiving devastating diagnoses. We know only too well the unimaginable loss when someone doesn’t survive cancer – but we also know the sheer relief and joy when someone finishes their treatment and receives the all clear.

That’s why we’re supporting Cancer Research Wales this Christmas, with The Gift of Time campaign.

Because, as we know from our own experiences, precious time together is the gift families impacted by cancer want.

This powerful video features the experiences of Amy, a mum from Cwmbran who was diagnosed with aggressive triple-negative breast cancer aged just 29. Amy had a six-month-old baby and a five-year-old – and her only wish that year was not to miss her son’s first Christmas.

Six years on, Amy and her husband Andrew are preparing for another busy Christmas with their children, full of lasting, meaningful memories, thanks to pioneering research transforming how cancer is diagnosed and treated.

This Christmas, Cancer Research Wales is asking people across Wales to help give families like Amy’s the gift of more time together.

The charity relies solely on donations to fund the vital, pioneering work happening right here on our doorstep.

Every penny you donate to Wales’ only cancer research charity helps fund researchers, scientists, and technicians working across Wales. They are finding better ways to detect and treat cancer, leading to better outcomes and longer, fuller lives for patients.

You can make a one-off donation or set up a monthly direct debit, to help give families like Amy’s more time for cuddles, more laughs, more love – more time together.

Give the gift of time this Christmas and donate.
