Interactive Power Punch Batman (review)
“I love him so much! He’s my best friend!”
In case you were in any doubt as to whether 3½-year-old Littlest Boy I liked the new Interactive DC Power Punch Batman he was sent to review, the above is what he said completely unprompted while cuddling his new toy before bed one night.
Littlest is superhero obsessed and Batman is his absolute favourite so I had no doubt he would love this plush speaking toy from DC Toys. He’s had it a couple of weeks now and it is a definite success.
We were sent it to coincide with Warner Brothers’ Batman Day, an annual celebration of the superhero on 23rd September.
The Interactive Power Punch Batman is a great size at 35cm tall. He’s big enough for little kids to cuddle and handle easily but not too big for him to carry by himself when we take him out and about. Which is a lot at the moment!
He’s soft and cuddly and has a Batman mask, logo and utility belt sewn into him and a cape that is fully attached – meaning they won’t get pulled off and lost as is often the case with kids and toys – and soft eyes, which are far better for cuddling than hard plastic ones.
Pressing the Batman logo on Batman’s chest makes him say a range of signature phrases such as, “We will be stronger as a team”, “I know my city inside out. Every corner of every dark alley”, and “The Joker doesn’t take anyone seriously”. Littlest loves repeating the phrases.
Pressing his left hand makes different punching sounds and his poseable arms means they can be moved into different positions.
Littlest loved that Batman’s eyes light up with all the phrases and punching sounds.
The toy needs 3 x AAA batteries to work… and I was pleased to see these were included. It’s so frustrating when you buy a new toy and can’t use it straight away.
The battery pack is accessed through a Velcro strip on Batman’s back. It’s underneath his cape and closes really tightly compared to other similar toys we have had. I don’t think Littlest has realised it’s there yet!
There’s also an on-off switch meaning he can cuddle his new favourite toy at night time without the sound of punching or Batman talking waking him every time he moves.
The recommended retail price is £26.99 which is a little on the expensive side but it’s currently got 10% off at Argos bringing it down to £23.99 with Amazon currently selling it at the same price.
The age guidance is 10 months to 7 years, and Little Man O, my six-year-old middle child, also loves this Batman toy.
This is a great toy for younger fans of Batman. Cuddly and soft but with lots of interactive features too. My children definitely recommend it!

This looks like a really cool toy and the little one is enjoying playing with it a lot. And i agree with you, i bought a very cute train for my nephew and he was so happy, but we realised later that he can’t play with it properly because it didn’t had batteries. The problem was solved quickly, but it’s very dissapointing for kids when they receive a gift and can’t use it right away. Good thinking for selling the whole package! ^_^
Bless him saying it’s his best friend, that’s adorable! We are big DC fans so it would be popular in our household too 🙂 x
My little one would absolutely love this! He is a huge Batman fan! think I will add it to his Christmas list x
