My May 2016 Instagram highlights

Every month, I collate the best of my month on Instagram here on my blog. It took me a while to get the hang of Instagram, but it’s now one of my favourite social networks, inspiring me every day with the beautiful photos and sense of community.

We’ve made the most of the sunny and dry weather during May and headed out on loads of day trips. I’ve written new posts this month on the sculpture trail at Garwnant Visitor Centre and Ebbw Vale Owl Sanctuary, but we’ve also been back to Raglan Castle as part of my role as Cadw ambassador, Dyffryn Gardens, Heath Park, Roath Park and Bute Park a couple of times each, and Mountain View Ranch.

I’ve been thrilled to gain around 400 new followers during May, and super-excited to see my images featured in some of the communities I participate in – #familytravelmoment #UKexplore #igerscardiff This has been a huge deal for me, because my photos were so rubbish just a few short months ago and I’ve been working so hard to improve my photography skills. I still have plenty to learn but I feel like I’m getting there slowly!

Here’s the best of my photos from May.

  1. Gorgeous photos – it took me a little while to get into Instagram too but I love it now, nothing like looking back over that month’s worth of images.
