Give Golf a Go for free this Easter holidays with a family-friendly taster event at Raglan Golf Club.
Suitable for everyone, including absolute beginners, you can learn the basics of golf in a supportive environment with access to the course, mini golf and an indoor simulator. PGA professionals will also be on hand to show you a range of techniques and answer any questions.

The event takes place on Thursday 9 April from 4pm-7pm and is completely free, although it is advisable to book your space in advance on the Wales Golf website.
The Give Golf a Go events show that golf can be accessible to everyone with Wales Golf in particular keen to inspire women and families to try out golf in a fun and inclusive way. There are many different ways to get into golf, whether it’s a quick visit to a driving range, a casual round of pitch and putt with friends, or some light-hearted fun at mini-golf.
The sport has lots of health benefits, with a typical 18 hole round meaning you’ll walk more than 10,000 steps, burn up to 2,000 calories and improve balance, strength, coordination and cardiovascular health. In fact, golfers can live five years longer than non-golfers and as a physical activity golf can help prevent and treat 40 major chronic diseases including diabetes, heart attacks, stroke, breast and colon cancer, depression and dementia.

If you can’t make next Thursday, then Wales Golf also offers a New2Golf programme especially for beginners. This includes lessons at affordable prices, in a relaxed and supportive environment, and with all equipment provided, meaning you can develop your skills and build confidence while having fun. See the Wales Golf website for upcoming courses across Wales. New dates and venues are added regularly, but feel free to contact Wales Golf if you need any help or advice on how to get started in your golfing journey.
