WIN! Cardiff Children’s Literature Festival family tickets plus a bundle of books!
The fifth Cardiff Children’s Literature Festival takes place between Saturday 25th March and Sunday 2nd April 2017. Cardiff Mummy Says is a blogger ambassador for the event – and we’re launching the partnership with a fantastic competition to win family tickets and a bundle of books!
As regular readers will know, we are all huge book fans in our house and have enjoyed attending the festival in the past. We are looking forward to once again celebrating the best in contemporary children’s books, as authors and illustrators bring to life their creations in iconic venues across the city.
Taking place over two weekends, famous names on the ticketed programme include illustrator and author Nick Sharratt, Andy Stanton of Mr Gum fame, Hugless Douglas author David Melling, Welsh children’s poet Anni Llŷn, Lyn Gardner, Guardian journalist and children’s novelist, and TV presenters Lucy and Rhodri Owen with their new picture book Boo-a-Bog in the Park. All sessions cost £4 per ticket.
All age groups are catered for, with events having an approximate age guidance, ranging from 2+ to 10+. There will be a variety of English, Welsh and bilingual events. Sessions take place in several landmark Cardiff venues, including City Hall, the Reardon Smith Theatre at National Museum Cardiff, The Old Library, The Cardiff Story, Cardiff Central Library, and the Undercroft at Cardiff Castle.
Free craft sessions will also take place at The Cardiff Story over the two weekends, as well as a number of schools-only free sessions taking place during the week for local pupils.
You can see the full festival line up here.
As part of my role as blogger ambassador, I’ll be bringing you more festival news between now and March. In the meantime though, there’s a chance to win family tickets and books in this giveaway.
One lucky Cardiff Mummy Says reader will win a family ticket* to two sessions** of their choosing at Cardiff Children’s Literature Festival, as well as a bundle of books suitable for their child’s age.
