Meet The Grinch at Mermaid Quay this Christmas  

The Grinch will be visiting Mermaid Quay this Christmas. Following his popular appearance last year, the grumpy, furry green creature, with a heart ‘two sizes too small’ will be roaming around Mermaid Quay, causing chaos, posing for photos and spreading his own unique brand of Christmas cheer.

The character, who is depicted in Dr Seuss’ beloved book as well as both animated and live action films, will be visiting Cardiff Bay on Sunday 21 December from 11am-3pm. There’s no charge to meet him.

Other Christmas events at Mermaid Quay this December include free Elf workshops on Saturdays 13, 20 and Sunday 21 December. As mentioned in this article, the workshops will take place from 10am-4pm in Unit 2 (opposite Coffi Co) and will see children join the team of cheerful elves for crafts, games and plenty of North Pole magic.

Cardiff Uni Show Choir will also be providing festive entertainment Thursday 11 and Saturday 13 December, with a programme of seasonal music numbers.

As well as the special events, visitors to Mermaid Quay can combine with gift shopping at the beautiful boutiques around Mermaid Quay, lunch at one of the many restaurants, catch a film at Everyman or get hands on with science at Techniquest.
